my fedora10x_64 install doesnot see the other partitions

I already have fedora6 i686 installed on my acer laptop. Since it has a core 2 duo processor I decided to try out fedora10 x_64 bit version. The dual boot is working alright , except that the other partitions are not seen by it.....
fdisk -l doesnot show the partitions.
thanks for any suggestions / help in advance

well... what does fdisk -l show?
It is entirely possible that the install of x86_64 was done using the same VG that i686 is using but with a different root LV.
Code:
fdisk -l
pvscan
lvscan
grep root= /boot/grub/grub.conf
