I want to set up MS office thropugh Crossover Office, I have just installed Xandros on a machine, and it comes with crossover office. The problem is that several people use the machine, and I want them all to have access to office, but not have to install it several times, how can I do this? Crossover office doesn't seem to let me install a program as root and share it as is usually done
If anyone has a solution to this I would still be grateful, but in the end I gave up, and just set up one user, which everyone could log in to to use office etc., it seemed the only way to do it
Did you check with Codeweavers tech support? I am pretty sure you should be able to install it as root and have it appear for everyone.
Actually I'm almost positive that worked on my machine at home where I set up another account for my wife. I'm pretty sure she has access to Crossover apps. All she wanted was net and e-mail but I am pretty sure I saw the Crossover menu item show up for her. I know I have it.
