MTA Suggestion (Exim -vs- Postfix)

I have been using Postfix for years and was wondering if anyone has any experience between Exim and Postfix MTA's? It appears that Postfix is a bit more secure and easy to config / manage than Exim however Exim allows more flexibility which is why some say it's not as secure. You can also argue that Postfix is not as scalable or flexible due to it's strong security development.

Does anyone have experience with both and care to tell me what you prefer and why?

Personal experience is Postfix is fairly 'easy' (if I can describe it that way), but I've found Exim to be a bit more 'featured' - at the expense of being a bit more 'involved' at times.

The square to that, and measure for any serious use, is the help you can get when you need it. I've found that asking questions gets good, polite and useful help on the Exim mailing list, as opposed to curt, rude and unhelpful 'RTFM' type responses on the Postfix list.

If you are the kind of person that can pick out all the information you need, without having to ask many questions on 'official' lists I'd back Postfix as being a pwerful entry point. Thankfully there are decent, polite people here, like yourself, with a wide range of Postfix skills that will help without flaming you.

I'd say to anyone starting out with MTA's (not you!) get familiar with Postfix and if you find that there is stuff it can't do for you - then see if Exim offers it.
