need help on configuring Maildir in postfix MTA

Hello there!

I'm new in linux and i just manage to install Postfix in Slackware 10.2. When I receive any mail it comes into /var/spool/mail/username. But I found in postfix that there is a term Maildir. How I use this term ? I mean if i want to use home_mailbox = Maildir/ instead of mail_spool_directory = /var/spool/mail, what should i have to do?

If you were to edit the postfix file and add the line
home_mailbox = mail/
Then incomeing E-mail to a local recepiant will go into /home/<user>/mail and be stored in the maildir format. If you prefer the mailbox format just omit the trailing slash

home_mailbox = mail
You shouldn't have to do anything else, home_mailbox should take priority over mail_spool_directory
