i have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled both thru smart, and yast, but every time i try to open a video with mplayer, it opens up 2 windows and the control deck(the small panel that looks like a car stereo deck) with out the graphics or any information...just blank windows and panels...lockt up and no details as to what the error is...just that its an error, and then i have to kill i thru the shell...

any ideas what the problem may be...
