MPlayer Error!

Hi guys,

i just downloaded the latest XVID & i managed to compile it with no problems. i have libxvidcore.a in /usr/local/lib & then when i try to recompile MPlayer --with-xvidcore=/usr/local/lib i see that MPlayer says :

Checking for XviD ... no

i was wondering what i am doing wrong, so you can help me fix that.

Thanks for your help!

Try running ldconfig and then running mplayer so it updates your lib's, etc.

You could also try placing it in just /usr/lib
