MP3 ID3 Tag/Meta Data

I'm trying to modify the metadata for my mp3s using banshee, I change the artist name and it works. But once I re-open banshee the file reverts back to the old name. Also if I just play the file again in banshee once i changed the id3 it goes back. I set all the write permissions on. I tried in Rythmbox too but same thing happens. Changing it in XMMS actually works. Also I'm trying to make a Korean id3 tag. But I don't think thats the problem cuz I also tried changing it to an english name in banshee. Any help??

That's strange. You probably are missing a library that Banshee and Rhythmbox need to change id3 tags. They both use GStreamer as a backend, which should have support for it. Maybe it uses libid3tag to write the tags. Try installing that and try again.

I don't know about Banshee, but id3 tag editing is not stable yet in Rhythmbox. There is a standalone program called EasyTag that's pretty good for this and might be worth checking out.
