Mandrake 9.1??

i had installed red hat linux on my pc which equiped with a radeon 9600, 1200 Gb hard drive, amd 2500+, a7n8x deluxde mb and a 19" viewsonic monitor.

the reason why i want to install mandrake is because i heard that mandrake's user interface was better than redhat. Since, i had learned everything from shell programming to c++. So, i just want to gave me a little break.

Supposely, i was trying to install mandrake 9.1 on my 120 Gb iomega usb hard disc, however, i can't even get to the installation screen.

When my pc boots from cd, everything was ok. I could even get to the screen which in graphics and it's asking wether i want to press [Enter] or [F1] for further option. After i hit enter, my screen goes blank and nothing cames back again!.

is there anyway i could install mandrake on my iomega's 120 hdd?
And is there a patch or module for me to load for my ati radeon 9600 pro?

Exclamation Try this

Goto the MandrakeLinux website. On the left there is a link for "errata". Check to see if there is a patch for your system. It could be a bad CD too but check for that first.
Also, do you have SATA? You may have to try a text install. May be a problem with the video card drivers during install.

Hope this helps.
