Question Mandrake 8.2 install with hpt370 running raid0 possible?

I want to install Mandrake 8.2 on my system, currently running RAID 0 running WinDoze ME and XP. I've installed mandrake before on other setups pretty successfully, but this is the first time i've tried installing on a RAID. Highpoint has drivers, though none are Mandrake specific, so i'm not sure if i would have to modify an existing driver or if i need to compile a new kernel with the driver or is there a different approach.

System is as follows:

*1.4 Ghz Athlon (266)
*Epox 8k7a+
*256 MB PC 2100 DDR
*(2) Maxtor 7200 RPM 20 GB ATA 100 drives (both as masters on sepperate channels)
*HP 9500i CDRW
*generic DVD
*Matrox G550
*Aureal Vortex
*TView
*Blah Blah Blah ....

http://www.highpoint-tech.com/

Left hand column, they have drivers for HPT370, HP370A controlers for the PCI versions.

They dont list a driver for it (for linux) on epox's web page

Maybe the redhat one will work, with or without some modification, i don't know
