Question Making Linux Training Videos

For the past several hours I've been researching how to make videos in Linux. Not from a camera, or a tvcard, but from the screen: my desktop.

Why? As the subject says I'd like to make some training videos and presentations of various things in Linux. I've found rfbrecord but it sucketh mightiliy and appears to be no longer worked on anyway.

Anyone do/done/know about this?

Cheers,
Bill

You can find an instruction on vnc2swf here and here. I saw some really great results with this kind of videos in the tutorials from CBT Nuggets, even if it is a curious idea to create Windows Media Player-only tutorials on using Linux.
