Making a Video DVD with K3b

I am having a problem trying to burn a DVD with k3b.

I am selecting the option 'make a new video dvd project' and dragging a mpg file to the video_ts folder shown by k3b. When I select burn it fails and shows an error code:-

No idea what this means am afraid. Any help appreciated.

My system is suse 64 bit version 10.0 kde 3.4

K3b can't convert your mpg file into dvd files. IN order to make a dvd in k3b you need to have the dvd files arlready created. Try Qdvdauthor to convert your mpg file to dvd files.

Another one to look at is Varsha. I know a lot of people who have had problems with either one or the other, but at least you have an option if one doesn't work for you
