Mail server application
I was wanting to find out if there is anyway that email could be sent to my internal server, then my isp OR if the email is to be sent to someone in the network, it puts it in their mail box?
Example:
foo1@foo.org sends a large email and it goes to the server quickly then sends on from the server
foo1@foo.org recieves a large email and it goes to the server then quickly to to the client.
foo1@foo.org wishes to send an email to foo2@foo.org which is on the same network.
Also, i dont want to setup a mail server because i pay for a god pop service. I mainly want to set it up because i send large emails inside my network AND waiting for emails to leave my computer is a hassle.
Oh and another thing, can i run business contact manager server on linux? or host the database with mysql?
Cheers
Chris

I'm not completely sure what you're asking, but I think that in order to do what you want, you need a mail server.

As far as I know, the best way to do this is with a mail server. I can't think of anything else that will do what you're talking about. You mentioned that you pay for a good POP service, but it wouldn't hurt running a mail server too.

There are a lot of good mail servers out there. Personally, I would suggest Postfix.
