Looking for downloader that goes in system tray

Does anyone know of a downloader, compatible with Firefox, that sits in the system tray or notification area of the GNOME desktop?

When I use GNOME, I use gwget which docks in the panel when minimised. What do you mean by compatible with Firefox?

Yeah, that is what I am looking for. Does it list the downloads in a menu when you click on the system tray icon or does it just open full window again? Also, I think this is a frontend to wget. A friend told me that using wget will get you banned on some sites. I don't know if that is true.

So that if I click to download something, it will open instead of the downloader that comes with Firefox.

You might try d4x.

You will probably need the Flashgot extension for any download manager to work properly with Firefox. http://www.flashgot.net/whats

I use Kget.

I think it lists the downloads when you roll a mouse over the docked applet (not sure coz I've not used it for a while). As for integration with Firefox, I have never checked that out because all I do is copy and paste urls and that works fine for me.
