Thunderbird to system tray
Is it possible to keep thunderbird running in the system tray? I like to keep my mail client open all the time to constantly check for new email.

I am aware of that... I like the system tray because it's "out of the way."

You misunderstood me. There was no criticism implied.
It meant that since you've been around awhile, it should
have been obvious to me that you would know how to
minimize an app...

Hey,
I used to use a Thunderbird extension located here to do this:
hxxp://texturizer.net/thunderbird/extensions/#freedesktop
But, since TB8 it doesn't seem to work anymore...and the developer's page is gone.
Anyone know what happened, or if this project will continue? BTW, If you use TB7 the extension still works...
PS. Word of wisdom: Just ignore stupid replies...there are tons of "wastiods" on these forums...with nothing better to do than bug linux newbies (or oldies). Christ...the whole point of this site is for quesitons!!! Esp. ignore replies from people with "stupid heavy-toned passe religious quotes" in their tag...(Note, I used the word "Christ" as an term not as a name of a person...
Peace!

Actually, your remarks are totally void of any true
wisdom. When you die, and stand before God, you
will then know what a fool you've been...there will
be no "peace" for you for all of eternity. I pity you.
"The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'"

Same here, and keyboard shortcut your virtual desktops.
