Looking for a web browser extension that disables graphics and photographs

Hi all,
I was wanting to know if there is a FireFox or Google Chrome browser extension or plug-in that would turn off the rendering of graphics and photographs in the browser when I surf the net, leaving just text in the browser window?

Thanks

I like lynx, but you might look at links. It formats the page similarly to a graphical browser, but does not do graphics.
