Shutting down of dansguardian disables web browsing
Hi all,
Im running a Squid with transparent Dansguardian. It seems i cant shut down Dansguardian or else i will get an error message from firefox telling me it cant establish a connection with the proxy server.
Actually i just wanted some flexibility in the sense that im able to switch off DG, leaving squid on. And this will reduce the amount of controls if the I think that the users do not need DG's controls. However, now im not able to do this. Is there anyway where i can achieve this?
Haven't used DG in ~ 5 years, but you should be able to just
have a set of iptables rules that goes directly to squid and
one that goes to squid via DG. Just use those as appropriate.
Cheers,
Tink
