People,
I have a vvery lllittle PC running MRTG, watching 20 or 30 interfaces. It works for a period, after breaks. So, I think it can be happening because of some "sleeping" configuration, because the screen becomes blank after some time. Note: it is in text mode.
What file I configure to stop sleeping mode?
I think that enabling/disabling power management is something that you need to do by passing the appropriate agrument to the kernel with your boot loader (lilo or grub).
In lilo, you do this via your /etc/lilo.conf file (making sure you run lilo after each change).
I discovered one more detail...
If I am logged in, the screen becomes blank after some time but PC never stalls. But if I log off, it stops working nearly one hour after.
