Ok well I just got done with this I wanted to show u guys for final inspection. Took me a few days of working on this Linux box to cover if something failed. This is after you set up the raid partitions with Linux fedora core 4 in the setup and then something strage happens and one of your drives fail. If some one wants the tutorial on how to set up raid on fedora step by step i have that written down as well. Well hear is the doc please look and give me some criticism let me know if im missing something or doing something the wrong way.

windows .doc file

quick hint, bud. Save it as an htm, not a doc. make a webpage- not everyone has .doc reading capabilities (openoffice yaddayadda, it's still wierd and a hassle) It would be nicer to read online straight.

thanks for the effort- not many people like writing documentation.

tg,

the links for what to do when a HD fails are there. what i'd like are the notes to set up the RAID1 system in the first place. i didn't see those links.

oh sorry- hehehe.

as a side note- docs are notorious for holding viruses, so some people are wary of them.
