Linux boot screen

How can I change my boot screen background image?
I mean when all texts are running(like checking my hardware,etc,...)

I'd like to change the background when it asks me a username and password to logon.I mean the background where (welcome,wilkommen,etc...) is.
I use Suse 9.0 and KDE 3.1.4

Thank you
