LIMEWIRE Install

I am currently trying to install LIMEWIRE onto my computer. I am running SUSE 9.2, yet it won't install from YaSt. It DL's a .bin file, which I can see.

Hi,

You need to run the LimeWire installer (.bin) file by issuing the following command in a shell -

Code:
sh <installerfilename.bin>
This will install Limewire into your /home directory (so you don't need root privileges to do the install)

You'll also need the Java runtime environment installed for Limewire to work - have a look on your SuSE cds for any packages named 'J2RE' or similar.

Have fun - Limewire is great!

actualy, go download the file. It will be a .bin. Then in a command line, cd into the driectory where you downloaded it at. Type chmod a+x whatever.bin, and then ./Limwire.bin or whatever the name is. And installer will come up. If you havent already installed the java run time, go google it, download it for linux, and the the following to isntall it. In terminal type chmod a+x j2rewhatever.bin. Itll make it executeable. SRY! g2g, bell rang! (eheh) Ill finish this later.
