Lightworks on Gentoo issue

Hi all,

I'm running Gentoo and just tried to install media-video/lightworks

When started from the terminal it throws an error:

lightworks: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

equery tells me lightworks depends on virtual/jpeg-62, I have also virtual/jpeg-0-r2 and media-libs/libjpeg-turbo installed, there should be no need for libjpeg8 ...

Any ideas how to convince lightworks to use libjpeg-62 would be greatly appreciated. I'll post additional info if needed.

Many thanks,

ErG

Generally, if you're going to set dependencies, you have to do it in configure or manually at build.
Does Gentoo give you the option of modifying the configure script? Do you have any documentation on this product that would help you to install it with the correct flags set?
