libgnome problem

Hi
I have FC4 installed on my machine. I want to upgrade libgnome from 2.7.1 to 2.7.2. When I try to do this, then ./configure runs successfully, but when I run make, then I get the following error:

gnome-gconf.c:33: error: array type has incomplete element type
make[3]: *** [gnome-gconf.lo] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/neelu/Desktop/libgnome-2.7.2/libgnome'
make[2]: *** [all] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/neelu/Desktop/libgnome-2.7.2/libgnome'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/neelu/Desktop/libgnome-2.7.2'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Please guide what should I do.

A few more lines, including a few more before the error occurs, could help someone see the problem.

The versions you want to compile are from May resp. August 2004
Your compiler may be too new to compile these without patches.
Are you sure you don't want newer versions?
