Learning a Foreign Language Software

Hello,

Where can I find software to learn foreign languages? I have a program that runs in Windows, but I would like to limit my exposure to Windows and am not inclined to run wine or a similar program, if I can help it.

Some of the languages I would like to learn are:

Italian(already know some), Latin (already know some), French, Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic, Coptic, Slavonic, Croatian, Russian, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Esperanto!

This is an excellent program for learning Esperanto (the International Language):

Ergane is a vb program that can run under Wine. It is more or less a dictionary/phrase program for many different languages:

Esperanto is a 'second' language for the world. It allows people who speak different native languages to communicate, yet at the same time retain their own languages and cultural identities. Esperanto doesn't replace anyone's language but simply serves as a common second language. Esperanto can be learned in much less time than any other language.

Video about Esperanto with English subtitles.

Hello,

Well, I wasn't planning on studying Esperanto. I have a program in Windows that focuses on most of those languages, the notable exception being Russian. I would like to avoid using Windows as much as possible, and don't like programs like Wine - so, I am hopeful for a good language program for Linux/BSD Unix.
