Question LDAP and user Directories

I have recently built an LDAP server nd have several Linux Clients that authenticate agiainst the server. The clients are part of "Teen Center" where children between 14-17 are using the computers. Building the accounts on the LDAP server does not create the necessary directories on the client machines.

Is there a way to have linux create the necessary directories on the clients if they don't exist or have all the clients share a single home directory? they are using gnome2/ximiam as the windows manager?

Thanks,

Allan

I am having the same problem. I have set up an LDAP server and can login to client machines (on the command line only) but the user's home directory does not get created. When I try to login using an X session, it says there's no disk space because obviously the user's home directory hasn't been created.

Is there someone out there who can help us setthis up so that the user's home directory is created when the user logs onto the client?

please help.

Thanks,
