I have a redhat 9 linux system and i was trying install kernel 2.6.3 and i got a error message and the kernel didn't compile. I aksed a person in a chat room and they told me that the new kernel needs some kinda modules init to be installed first . Any one know what the file is and where can i get it.

You may want to read the article 'Migrating to Linux kernel 2.6 -- Part 3: Using the 2.6 kernel with your current system' which can be found at http://www.linuxdevices.com/articles/AT5793467888.html
