When installing KDE, I know you gotta install aRts first, then kdelibs, then kdebase and then the rest. I already got QT installed.
I wanted to start updating it, but I got a strange error immediately. Can someone help me out?
And can someone make me a chain command for automatically installing them all or something like that? All help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Install arts 1.4 devel package or download it into the same directory as your KDE rpms and retry the installation.

You need to install the newer version of arts and arts devel at the same time e.g.Alternatively you can do

Your problem is that you installed kde-devel packages the first time you installed kde onto your system. You will keep getting these errors unless you either remove the old kde devel packages or install the devel packages that match the version of KDE you are trying to install at the same time.

You need to do some reading on RPM and how it works. All those messages mean something, read between the lines. The errors mean that you are trying to install packages that overwrite files provided by other packages (in this case the previous versions). You can force the installation, by doingI believe KDE will upgrade ok, RPM is just trying to be helpful by informing you that your upgrade causes conflicts with some files, but since you are upgrading to a newer version its ok to force the installation.
