KDE and pentium 2

I couldnt find an anwser to this. What are the minimum requirements for KDE to run? Is it the same on Gentoo? I want to run KDE on Gentoo, but I do not know if my computer can handle it. Does i486 or later include a pentium 2 processor?

I wouldn't even suggest GNOME, it can be even more sluggish than KDE. XFCE, fluxbox, enlightenment and windowmaker are good WM's that run fine on old hardware.
