Centrino? Pentium III or Pentium 4?

So my laptop is getting delivered sometime today, it's got a Centrino processor, and I was wondering what processor optimization is preferable for these processors.

Installing Linux is going to be my time killer on a flight to England tonight, just want to make sure I have everything I might need before I get on the plane.
