I have mandriva 2006 with its KDE 3.5.4 I have in settings of kicker bookmark "appearance" but I have upgraded to KDE 3.5.2 then even 3.5.3 but I havent only these bookmarks

I have reported to the kdebug system and I have received this messange:
"this is a problem in your installation. you probably don't have the correct XDG_DATA_DIRS and XDG_CONFIG_DIRS env vars set. i see you're using mandriva and they have indeed has this problem in the past."

Can me please someone help how to fix it ?? I want make make kicker transparent and its on the bookmark "appearance" Thanks for help.

I am having the same problem, and I have set those environment variables in my .xinitrc file.

Actually, I have been searching the system and grepping for strings, and I have been ransacking the KDE site for information. I have not yet gotten it working correctly.

Would have been nice if the response had told you what the variables SHOULD be set to for a default mandriva 2006 installation.
