KDE 3.2.3 won't boot up
Hi- I successfully installed Slackware 10.0 and selected KDE as my desktop. So I was pokin' around to see whats what and I started the signature api.
I figured I should probably better know a tad more than I do before I signed anything and selected 'quit or exit or...'. The api froze. I waited. I waited some more. The entire system was stuck so I hit the dreded RESET button.
After reboot I ssid STARTX and the splash screen came up and ran to about 40% on the progress bar but there she sat. And sat and sat. So I RESET again.
Reboot. From the console I reinstalled KDE. Rebooted. STARTXed and same result.
Gnome 2.6 comes up as do all the other windows managers but no KDE.
My main concern is not so much KDE, but it is purdy. but to get on the internet and KDE looks like the only way on.
All assistance is appreciated. This is not critical but important.
