Kaffiene/Xine part and Streaming media

I'm trying to play some streaming movies, i.e. the ones on Apples trailer site. However, kaffiene is not cooperating. I installed the w32codecs package from mplayer into /usr/lib/win32. So I know I have the codecs. I also set up xine to look there for codecs. However, whenever I try to play the movie I get an error like this.
Code:
xine: couldn't find demux for >http://movies.apple.com/movies/fox/x-men_3/x-men_3-pre_teaser_h320.mov<
input_http: content length = 4428155 bytes
xine: found input plugin : http input plugin
xine: found demuxer plugin: Apple Quicktime (MOV) and MPEG-4 demux plugin
input_http: content length = 142 bytes
xine: found input plugin : http input plugin
Which I don't understand at all, seeing as how it says it cannot find a demuxer, and then says xine: found demuxer plugin.

Any help would be appreciated

hi,
I am not going to be exact as I do not remember, but I had the same problem.
What I did was to install more libs, i think about 6 or 7 ..
Some were libogg,libdvdread,libvorbis,speex,and others too...
my suggestion is to google to somewhere where all the various packages
are listed for your distro..In my instance I had suse which used yast to install the rpm's..It told what was needed for each package...
Sorry I can not be specific...
Goodluck,
jolphil

Alas, I gave up on Kaffeine. I built KMPlayer from sources with all of its backend. It works beautifully, I can use the MPlayer_part for streaming media, and the xine_part for DVDs and the like. So, problem solved...
