Just can't get the ln command to work

I am trying to use ln, but it just won't create a symbolic link.

My code is:

ln -sf /media/2TB/Archived /media/2TB-New/Archived

I am getting a small file that is not a link to the Archived folder.

SOLVED: Being a dummy, I messed up. It worked when I changed it to /media/2TB-new/Archived

"new" had a lower case n, and I was putting upper case. I forget sometimes that the computer is case sensitive.

-Thanks

It isn't clear which one is the symlink on your command...but the syntax is...

Code:
ln -s existingname symlinkname

From the man page....
Code:
ln TARGET DIRECTORY
You need to cd into /media/2TB-Bottom/Movies/ first, then run the following:
Code:
ln -s /media/2TB-New/Archived
Note that I didn't include the final DIRECTORY; Running that will create a symbolic link called "Archived."

Cheers,

Josh
