Java X Amd K6 3d Processor

Dear Friends,
I need to install Java in my Kalango Linux based in Debian and Knoppix 2003/2004, installed in an AMD K6 3D Processor 190 MB 510 MHZ(like pentiun II).
The latest version of JAVA runs in such a configuration?
If not, where can I obtain an older version?
I ask it to the support, but I have no assurance that they will answer my question.
Thanks.
