java runtime question

I looked for a jre package to install to my Red Hat 9 (I know, outta date), and the stuff I find at java.com raises following questions:

The instructions say I need a Pentium processor. I have Athlon. Is there a problem?
The package is quite old. It says it's compatible with Mozilla up to 1.4.1 - I have newer Mozilla. Do I have problem?
I don't want to screw up my system, which is working nice right now, but I'd like full Java capability.

Thanx

when it says "Pentium" it normally means i686 class processor, all modern x86 processors are i686 class (ever sense Pentium pro) .. so there shouldn't be a problem

as for the mozilla thing .... flip a coin, i don't think it would hurt .. but if it does, whats the worst it would do? .. its not like the system or mozilla requires java to run

If you download the latest JRE from Sun, it will work fine with RH9 (that's what I have on my machine at home). I think the note about Mozilla is just an indication that the plugin is for an older version, which means applets from webpages may not work properly, but local JARs and classes on your machine will work fine.
