Hi all,

I'm on slack 10.2 all updated. Have the latest Firefox.

I just put in latest firefox patch from slackware official ftp.

But I had the issue before using java programs in my firefox browser.

They work in mozilla, they work in Opera beta.

If I go to Sun's website and run the test java program it does work.

I even went so far to uninstall the java that came with slackware and install the latest java from Sun's web-site and still no luck.

I do have enable java checked off in firefox preferences.

Any ideas?

Try to uninstall java and when download it from:
http://www.linuxpackages.net/pkg_details.php?id=8295
and install it.

Or maybe it can be some problems with java plugin links.

the plugin links you refer to, that would be accessed from 'downloads' 'actions' in the preferences in firefox right? basically i should verify it finds the plugin on my pc's hard drive.
