After I got the "MagickWand ver 7 issue fixed so it would compile with that update I installed it, and I am now getting an error that the
Code:
could not execute command
"/usr/lib64/GNUstep/Applications/WPref.app/WPrefs"
which is an issue posted on the net, no fix found for it. I forgot what directive I used to compile this when I did it for Slackware 14.2 on the configure (something that shows it where to put it directive.)
in the configure file I found this.
Code:
esac
else
with_gnustepdir="$GNUSTEP_LOCAL_ROOT"
fi
if test "x$with_gnustepdir" = "x"; then :
wprefs_base_dir=${prefix}
wprefs_datadir="${datadir}/WPrefs"
wprefs_bindir="${bindir}"
else
wprefs_base_dir="$with_gnustepdir/Applications"
wprefs_datadir="$wprefs_base_dir/WPrefs.app"
wprefs_bindir="$wprefs_base_dir/WPrefs.app"
fi
which deals with where to put the WPrefs.app which it installed it in
Code:
userx@solus ~/Downloads/WindowMaker-0.95.8 $ sudo find / -name WPrefs
find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied
/usr/local/bin/WPrefs
/usr/local/share/WPrefs
/home/userx/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/WPrefs
/home/userx/Downloads/WindowMaker-0.95.8/WPrefs.app/.libs/WPrefs
/home/userx/Downloads/WindowMaker-0.95.8/WPrefs.app/WPrefs
/media/data/reinstall_files/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/WPrefs
/media/data/reinstall_files/GNUstep/Defaults/WPrefs
^C
userx@solus ~/Downloads/WindowMaker-0.95.8 $ ls /usr/local/bin/WPrefs
/usr/local/bin/WPrefs
userx@solus ~/Downloads/WindowMaker-0.95.8 $ ls /usr/local/share/WPrefs
WPrefs.tiff WPrefs.xpm xpm
userx@solus ~/Downloads/WindowMaker-0.95.8 $
so I do not really think it is even installed as I cannot find the WPrefs.app anything referring to it using find.
in the install output ( i logged it) I get this
Code:
make[4]: Nothing to be done for 'install-exec-am'.
/bin/mkdir -p '/usr/local/share/WPrefs/xpm'
but no making of the "/usr/lib64/GNUstep/Applications/WPref.app/WPrefs" directory and adding files into it in that install output.log I had it do (using simple redirection).
so I am hoping someone knows a quick fix to this, perhaps one of the command line directives to tell it where to install that part of wmaker so it will work while running configure.
