Is there an email program that uses the same file format for W*****s and Linux?
Folks, like the question says: I'm looking for a mail program that will allow me to use the same mail file from a Windows box and a Linux box. It's a transition strategy, I've made the jump from Windows to Linux but some other members of the team aren't quite ready yet.
So what's needed is a mail program that will allow access to its mailstore from both a Windows and Linux workstation (not simultaneously of course) and will read and write in the same format.
You could use the imap protocol rather than the pop protocol. This way, the email remains on the server until you want to delete it. This allows you to read the email from whatever machine you are using.
