Well, galculator also features a paper mode and Qalculate! provides access to the calculation history.

Besides, there are the venerable SuperbCalc (Java, so should work on Linux, too) and the console-based add alias tapecalc.

In this thread on Reddit, Jupyter Notebook and ntract were suggested as replacements for the ancient and abandoned gtapecalc, then somebody managed to update the original.

I had a look around the manual, and could not find a way to print out calculation history, or print displayed results
Do you know if Qalculate! is able to to that? (I installed it once, and couldn't find that option under any menu bar command. Did I miss something?

Don't know about Qalculate, but SuperbCalc definitely can print the tape (right-click on the tape and you'll see it). It's rather peculiar in how it works though: to get 2+3 you have to press five keys (2,+,3,+,=). See examples.
