INT21h alternative...


hi there!

i'm into assembly programming these days, and i wonder if the linux kernel has any services analogue to the famous DOS INT21h to generate software interrupts for stuff like character and string printing and inputting etc etc...

Ah yes, good ol' int21. My memory is too rusty by now, but i doubt the higher-level things it did have analogs in linux. Some peeping at the source for the GNU standard C library will likely answer your curiosity.
