Hello i am trying to install linux SuSE 7.1 and windows 98 Se. Which one should i install first? and where should the linux swap file be, should the windows partition or linux partition be first, and where should i put lilo???
u install windows firstly
and then go to the linux and install it completly
this will make u able to put the partition of windows in C: partition with anyproblems
and put the linux whereever u want
and will not need a special config for lilo cos it will autoconfig itself
Install windows. Then get FIPS off the net or perhaps the distros CD. FIPS resizes windows partition with absolutely no loss of data. (as long as you follow the instructions.) Then install linux and let its partitioning tool (Which i hear is very good for suse.) to create the required partitions.
