I hope this is the right place for this question.
I bought a red hat linux unleashed book wit the instal discs.
My master primary HDD HDD-0 has Win XP
I installed another one that came up as primary slave and disc one recognised it. At the installation point where I had to use my mouse the mouse was stuck, connected to the PS2 port at the back. As I went to disconnect it I nugged the power cable, my PC restarted and the kernel installation wasn't near completion. So I tried again in all the options and it said uncompressing linux....OK booting kernel and then it stuck.
Is the only way to clear the HDD and start again? Do I need the back up floppy which I idn't get to the stage of downloading?

Please advise me how to fix this problem.

Your current ?install? may be salvageable, depending on which point in the install procedure you came to before cutting power. However, since you haven't really invested much time in it, yet (so far as configuration and tweaking), it's probably best to get a fresh start by wiping it and re-installing.

You might want to wait a bit first to see if someone who is more Redhat-centric has a better plan. And it might help if they know which version of RH you have.
