Install SVK on RHEL 4 - Failed dependencies error.

Hi all,

I want to install SVK (subverion) on my RHEL4. (Link: http://svk.bestpractical.com/view/HomePage)

I have a problem when install package subversion-1.3.2-0.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm on RHEL 4.

# rpm -ivh subversion-1.3.2-0.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm
warning: subversion-1.3.2-0.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 6b8d79e1
error: Failed dependencies:
libaprutil-0.so.0 is needed by subversion-1.3.2-0.2.el4.rf.i386
Suggested resolutions:
/var/spool/up2dateapr-util-0.9.4-22.el4.i386.rpm

I can't find any libaprutil-0.so.0 package on findrpm.com,frpseek.com and google.com

Then I tried with apr-util-0.9.17.tar.bz2.tar package
When i used : ./configuge, it display error :
checking for APR... no
configure: error: APR could not be located. Please use the --with-apr option.

I found that, it need mor libs:
APR library
OpenSSL libraries
Java SE Development Kit (JDK)

After that, i downloaded package apr-devel-0.9.4-24.9.el4_8.2.i386.rpm
and install, but it's display error :
error: Failed dependencies:
apr = 0.9.4-24.9.el4_8.2 is needed by apr-devel-0.9.4-24.9.el4_8.2.i386
gcc = 3.4.5 is needed by apr-devel-0.9.4-24.9.el4_8.2.i386

Then, i installed :
apr-0.9.4-24.9.el4_8.2.i386.rpm
gcc-3.4.5-2.src.rpm

But it still display the error.

Anyone can give me some advises.

Thanks so much.

Did you do this as root ?

If it's not installed then there is this post to help get it installed, or use up2date if you have a legitimate copy of RHEL4.
