The latest RHEL is 5.3
The last release of the free Red Hat Linux was 9, since then, it has been called Fedora, and Red Hat has become an 'enterprise' distribution with paid support.
You may also download a distro build from the RHEL sources, called CentOS. It is free, as in beer and speech, and is a good route into enterprise linux without having to pay RedHat... not that I disagree with Redhat's model... I think it's a good one, but it's not for everyone.
