install on CD

Hi all

Can we install linux or QNX on a CD ROM..That is at the time of installation,can we give a CD rom in a CD writer as the target of installation??After that can we use that CD for demo purpose of the OS(boot from it and use for basic operations).

i don't think that is possible and would only cause problems, cause don't you think it would be very hard as much data moving around, it would take forever to write and rewrite log files and other stuff... and also the setting up a program to write and rewrite... etc when running an OS off a cd.... you could always try though...
