I have windows XP on 1st harddisk (hda1) and have sucessfully install fedora on 2nd harddisk (hdc1), the boot partition is also in 2nd harddisk. I have used hints in

copy the boot sector of hdc1 to c:\bootsect.lnx and have edited boot.ini to include booting linux. but it does not work. i don't want to install boot partition to hda1 before 1st 1024 cyliinder because i don't want to touch the 1st harddisk by resizing the partition. can i put the whole fedora 2 in 2nd harddisk and still multi boot with windows xp ?

As far as I know the 1024 cylinder limitation is not limited to the first Hard Disk. I have installed FC2 to my second HD (win98 is on the first) and it works perfectly.
