Images Blocked in QMail

Hello,
I've just moved on to a new job where I have to manage the network of a university. I am facing a small problem with QMail.
Users complain that images if any in their emails are blocked. I've never worked on Qmail before and couldnot find any related information in any site. Can anybody please point me in right direction.

I'm no expert myself, but as far as I know, qmail does not do any blocking itself, it's only the MTA. If anything, it maybe an addon like spamassassin, or the email clients themselves that are blocking the images. I know my version of thunderbird does not load images from emails unless I tell it too.
