I need some advice on how to install ServDoc

I am trying to the software called ServDoc. I was reading through the README and it talk about the ServDoc script. So this is what I did, first chmod 755 ServDoc and then I tried to run using this command ./ServDoc and got this

Code:
Can't use string ("0") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at/usr/local/servdoc/output_modules/ServDoc_ascii line 93, <STDIN>
line 3.<!DOCTYPE ServDoc SYSTEM "ServDoc.dtd">[.
What must I do to run it well?

Cd to the directory you installed it in, then try running it as
Code:
perl ./ServDoc --output=html > /tmp/servdoc.html

Not the right thing to do but you could comment out "use strict;" everywhere then try again?..

Odd. If I run 'perl ./ServDoc --output=ascii | tee output' I get +10K lines of output though that's using Centos 5. Maybe it's time to try another inventory tool.
