I need a Qt browser with WebExtension support
Hello. I'm sick of Firefox Quantum (even the -kde-opensuse version appears to be based on GTK) not matching my KDE Plasma theme and want a replacement browser that satisfies the following conditions:
1. Qt widgets
2. Resembles classic Firefox 1-3 in terms of the main toolbars, or can be customized to look like classic Firefox
I've tried Falkon and Otter, which meet both of the preceding conditions, but they lack both of the following:
3. Supports standard WebExtensions, e.g. NoScript, Iridium, Pushbullet, RetailMeNot, etc.
4. Can import passwords from other browsers (a feature that mainstream browsers have had for over a decade!)
I don't know whether this is due to "minimalism", though I would argue that being able to selectively disable website scripts, many of which exist only to annoy, advertise to, or track you, would save you a lot more system resources than cutting down the browser itself. Either way, it is unacceptable. Otter has had extensions "planned" for five years now! Are there any other Qt options?
