Hello, I can't install autoconf. When i cd to the directory(my desktop)
and run configure, i get this.
jc@linux-qx0b:~/Desktop/autoconf-2.63> configure
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /bin/mkdir -p
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... no
checking whether /bin/sh -n is known to work... yes
checking for expr... /usr/bin/expr
checking for GNU M4 that supports accurate traces... configure: error: no acceptable m4 could be found in $PATH.
GNU M4 1.4.5 or later is required; 1.4.11 is recommended
There is a folder called M4 in that directory, and two files inside that, one of them called m4.m4 and the other make-case.m4.
What do i need to do?
What does $path mean? is it the dir the console is currently in?
Thanks in advance for the help!

You need to install the m4 package. In Debian it's called "m4". I don't know about Opensuse. Maybe something like
You were running as root but then you don't need sudo. Either run as root and don't type sudo in the command or don't run as root and do type sudo in the command. Don't do both.
As I said, I don't know anything about OpenSUSE so maybe it doesn't use yum as a package manager. Obviously substitute the package manager you use for "yum".
Cheers,
jdk
