Autoconf-2.2 or higher need to install karamba
Ok, I admit i'm an extreme n00b. But I don't care, I'm learning and I want to learn. That is all that matters..right?
Anyway,
I have mandrake 9.2 freshly installed. I want to install karamba. I have a decent understanding of python and I've seen karamba do some pretty cool stuff with python. The problem is 9.2 has an older version of autoconf then what karamba needs. So I tried to install autconf-2.55 will no luck. Everytime i install..it works just fine (no errors anyway) but when i try to install karamba it says that i still have the old version of autoconf installed.
Am I not installing in the right dir? I mean the autoconf instructions seemed pretty easy
./configure
make
make install
and that's it...What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
